Compared with the long GnRH agonist protocol, GnRH antagonist protocol offers similar pregnancy rates and definite advantages, including absence of possible ovarian cyst and peri-menopausal symptoms caused by pituitary desensitization, shorter treatment duration, and a lower consumption of gonadotropin, which may decrease the risk of ovarian hyper-stimulation syndrome in patients with high ovarian response [2,3]. This evidence concerns the gene GNRH1 and Ovarian cyst.
