Gefitinib is the good choice for the initial start of the EGFR mutated lung cancer treatment, although 50% of lung cell carcinomas showed resistance to gefitinib at the time of 7–12 months of treatment through mutations L858R and T790M and indicated the upregulation of EGFR activity (Balak et al., 2006; Yun et al., 2008; Chan et al., 2020; Han et al., 2021). This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and lung carcinoma.
