In the random forest algorithm based on the mean minimal depth of inclusion, the ten most important predictors were: (a) immunoassay test result (mean minimal depth [MMD]: 4.11), (b) timing of thrombocytopenia (MMD: 4.62), (c) CRP (MMD: 4.78), (d) possible other causes of thrombocytopenia (MMD: 4.81), (e) white blood cell count (MMD: 5.00), (f) monocyte count (MMD: 5.02), (g) mean platelet volume (MMD: 5.15), (h) platelet nadir (MMD: 5.15), (i) prothrombine time (MMD: 5.15), and (j) hemoglobin concentration (MMD 5.15).
