CRP and inflammatory bowel disease: Although single bouts, or shorter durations of exercise in IBD have demonstrated increases in albumin, haemoglobin, erythrocytes, haematocrit and leukocytes [55–57] longer durations have demonstrated to decrease erythrocyte sedimentation rate, C-reactive Protein and thrombocytes, which are considered indicators for a diminished inflammation [1, 55, 58, 59].
