IL33 and Alzheimer disease: Buelow et al. (2021) have identified two pathways by which Alternaria can cause food allergic reactions using the same mouse model; an IL-33 pathway and a pathway involving oncostatin M (OSM) and amphiregulin (Areg), all of which have been reported to play a role in AD (Peng et al., 2018; Walker et al., 2018; Hashimoto et al., 2019; Scheffschick et al., 2019; Rojahn et al., 2020; Buelow et al., 2021).
