The aromatase gene CYP19A1 has also been linked to dyslexia (Anthoni et al., 2012), which is interesting, as aromatase determines the conversion of testosterone to estradiol, two sex steroids, and most studies have shown that there is a significant and substantial difference in the prevalence of dyslexia between boys and girls10. The gene discussed is CYP19A1; the disease is dyslexia.
