Within these, 113 genes (27.8%) have been previously associated with food allergy; within the top 10 DE genes, 8 genes have been previously linked to food allergy—C3, CXCL8, RARRES1, CXCL6, MUC5AC, CXCL1, and SAA3 (Figure 4B). This evidence concerns the gene CXCL1 and food allergy.
