We found the CHES1 mRNA levels determined using quantitative PCR (qPCR) were not totally consistent with CHES1 protein expression in different types of breast cancer cells (Figs. S5B and 1A), it suggested that differential effects of PTMs such as acetylation and ubiquitination on CHES1 stability were associated with our aforementioned results. The gene discussed is FOXN3; the disease is breast carcinoma.
