Rodríguez‐Alcázar et al.30found that Charcot‐Leyden crystals which can be formed after eosinophil degranulation are recognized by the NLRP3 receptor and promote ASC‐involved assembly of the NLRP3 inflammasome and release of IL‐1β, thereby maintaining chronic inflammation after eosinophilic inflammation. The gene discussed is IL1B; the disease is inflammation.
