TTR and polyneuropathy: Therapies that reduce the production of mutated TTR or stabilize circulating TTR molecules, preventing their dissociation into monomers, have already shown efficacy against ATTR-v with polyneuropathy, and tafamidis, a TTR stabilizer, has proved effective in reducing mortality and CV-related hospitalization in patients with ATTR-CM, resulting in its approval for ATTR-CM by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, European Medicines Agency, and other regulatory agencies.13
