LATS1 and breast cancer: Importantly, LATS1 expression was negatively associated with H3K27ac levels also in human breast-derived cells; knockout of LATS1 (LATS1-KO) in non-transformed mammary epithelial MCF10A cells (Fig. 4c) or silencing of LATS1 (siLATS1) in MCF7 luminal breast cancer cells (Fig. 4d) resulted in modest augmentation of H3K27ac levels.
