Remarkably, examination of a small set (N = 15) of luminal breast cancer patient samples showed a noticeable similarity of LATS1 and NCOR1 immunohistochemical staining patterns: tumors with nuclear LATS1 tended to have more nuclear NCOR1, whereas tumors with cytoplasmic LATS1 tended to harbor more cytoplasmic NCOR1 (Fig S7b). The gene discussed is NCOR1; the disease is breast carcinoma.
