DPP4 and liver disorder: From the in vivo studies undertaken previously using P. tuberose methanolic root extract (PTME) as a potential herbal treatment on the liver homogenates of alloxan-induced diabetic rats, it was reported that PTME possessed an abundance of flavonoids and significantly reduced DPP-IV activity in a time-dependent manner from 16 DPP-IV activity in a time-dependent manner fromto 4 μM/unit as compared with alloxan control (17.5 μM/unit) within a period of 40 days, which proved that PTME was a promising candidate to cure DPP-IV-induced liver disorders (84).
