Because of the role of PLK1 in the regulation of progression of prostate cancer through the activation of the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway, we hypothesized that YTHDF1 promotes PLK1 mRNA translational efficiency in activating PI3K/AKT signaling, thereby regulating prostate cancer tumorigenesis and metastasis.
