In addition, we analyzed the association between GALNT1 levels and clinicopathological factors (Table 1) and found that patients with larger tumor size (≥5 cm; p=0.002), Borrmann type (III/IV; p=0.005), pathological tumor-node-metastasis (pTNM) stage (III/IV; p<0.001), depth of invasion (T3/4; p=0.001), lymph node metastasis (p<0.001), distant metastasis (p=0.005), and lymphovascular invasion (LVI; p=0.022) tended to have higher levels of GALNT1 in primary tumors (Table 1).
