In pCan-1 cells, ADCK2 silencing or depletion resulted in robust inhibition of phosphorylation Akt (Ser-473, the same below) and S6K1 (Figure 7A), suggesting that ADCK2 depletion indeed hindered Akt-mTOR activation in primary NSCLC cells. The gene discussed is ADCK2; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
