To a certain extent, TAA can be divided into three categories (7): first, TAA presented on the surface of tumor cells by major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules or antigen presenting cells (APCs) and recognized by autoantibody or heteroantibody; second, target molecules or ligands recognized by natural killer (NK) cell receptors; and third, TAA presented on the surface of tumor cells by MHC molecules or APCs and recognized by autoantibody or heteroantibody (APCs). This evidence concerns the gene HLA-C and neoplasm.
