Tumors in the right-sided colon displayed a significantly higher ratio of altered genes including KRAS, PIK3CA, LRP1B, FAT1, and PKHD1 (Figure 4A), and a considerable number of these right-sided tumor-enriched genetic alterations (e.g., KRAS, PIK3CA, CREBBP, PKHD1, AMER1, FAT1, ARID2, and POLE) were further confirmed in the validation cohort (Figure S3A). This evidence concerns the gene KRAS and neoplasm.
