We have recently reported that some inhibitory or stimulatory receptors, including programmed cell death-1 (PD-1), T cell immunoreceptor with Ig and ITIM domains (TIGIT), T cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain-containing protein-3 (TIM-3), cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated antigen (CTLA-4), inducible T cell costimulatory (ICOS), and lymphocyte-activation gene-3 (LAG-3), are expressed on T cells, B cells, and NK cells and play a significant role in CRC disease progression [12, 13]. The gene discussed is PDCD1; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
