Older age (OR 0.991, 95% CI 0.985–0.996, p = 0.001), higher admission hemoglobin (OR 0.949, 95% CI 0.913–0.987, p = 0.008), higher admission serum albumin (OR 0.418, 95% CI 0.359–0.487, p < 0.001) and higher average glucose during the hospitalization (OR 0.992, 95% CI 0.990–0.994, p < 0.001) were all associated with reduced incidence of hypoglycemia.
