Tocilizumab (Figure 2) is a recombinant humanized monoclonal immunoglobulin G1 (IgG1) antibody that antagonizes the soluble and membrane bounded receptors of IL-6 and it is already approved for the treatment of the diseases with autoimmune component such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis, and giant cell arteritis [36,37,38]. This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and rheumatoid arthritis.
