CASP3 and prostate cancer: It has been shown that curcumin exhibits inhibitory effects on the growth of PC-3 and DU-145 prostate cancer cells by enhancing miR-30a-5p and suppressing the PCNA clamp-associated factor (PCLAF) expressions that lead to an increase in the level of Bax and cleaved caspase-3 expression, and to a decrease in Bcl-2 and caspase-3 levels.
