According to the initial RT-qPCR and Western blot results obtained with noncancer ureter cells and bladder cancer cell lines, along with the in silico analyses presented in this study, TKS5 is highly expressed in normal or untransformed cells derived from the human ureter, whereas its expression is downregulated in cancer cells with low malignant potential, and is nearly absent in invasive BC cell lines. The gene discussed is SH3PXD2A; the disease is urinary bladder cancer.
