Immunohistochemical staining of rat periodontal tissue sections with IL-1β and IL-6 antibody (Figure 5b) showed that, compared to the control group, there were obvious positive areas in the periodontitis group, with proportions of IL-1β-positive cells up to 9.06% ± 5.42% and IL-6 up to 20.29% ± 4.97%. Here, IL1B is linked to periodontitis.
