In an in-vitro model of atherosclerosis, miR-130a overexpression enhanced inflammatory factors like tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α and interleukin (IL)-1, IL-6, and IL-8 and its downregulation reduced the inflammation by attenuating TNF-α, IL-1, IL-6, and IL-8. Here, CXCL8 is linked to atherosclerosis.
