In general, our results suggest the involvement of YKL-40 in promoting the migration and invasion of CRC cells by activating the EMT mechanism, probably through the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway, which is involved in the direct induction of EMT [61], and the Ras/Raf/MEK/ERK signaling pathway [62].
