F10 and coronary artery disorder: In 2016, observing the increased risk of total and cardiovascular mortality in VHS subjects with clinically stable CAD and high FVIIa-AT plasma levels, we hypothesized a possible beneficial use of FXa inhibitors in CAD patients, supported by blocking the excess of FX activation mediated by TF–FVIIa interaction, which is indirectly marked by high FVIIa-AT plasma levels.
