According to previous studies, several gene mutations have been identified in the background of BRAF V600E positive mutation in ameloblastoma, including somatic mutation in cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 2A (CDKN2A), catenin beta 1 (CTNNB1), fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFR), Kirsten rat sarcoma virus (KRAS), phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase catalytic subunit alpha (PIK3CA), and phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN) [19,98]. Here, BRAF is linked to ameloblastoma.
