Previous studies have revealed that the expression of lincRNA PCAT-1 (prostate cancer associated transcript 1) is highly cancer tissue specific, whereas the expression level of circulating lncRNA PCA3 (prostate cancer antigen 3) is clinically significant in body fluids (i.e., blood) and it is well accepted for viable clinical applications as liquid biopsy biomarker for prostate cancer by the FDA (US Food and Drug Administration) [77,78]. This evidence concerns the gene PCA3 and prostate carcinoma.
