Then, we evaluated the DNA methylation level of TFF1/TFF2 CpG islands in gastric cancer, and the results indicated that the hyper-methylation of cg01886855 (TFF1-MS) was responsible for the suppression of TFF1 in the tumor, and cg26403416 (TFF2-MS) was correlated with the methylation of TFF2 in gastric cancer.
