In accordance with our RNA sequence data, immunolabeling in the TgF344-AD rats brain revealed enhancement of iNOS, GBP2, and C3, particularly around amyloid plaque deposits in F344Tg-AD compared with WT rat brain, as well as strong co-localization with the astrocyte marker GFAP (Figure 6B,D,F, respectively). This evidence concerns the gene GFAP and Alzheimer disease.
