Additional studies showed that rosiglitazone suppresses the migration, invasion, and cell growth of breast cancer cells by inhibiting the leptin signaling pathway, which is mediated by MAPK/STAT3/Akt phosphorylation, suggesting that this PPARγ ligand prevents the stimulatory effect of leptin on estrogen signaling mainly by enhancing the expression of adiponectin [125,127]. The gene discussed is LEP; the disease is breast carcinoma.
