In 50% of documented MIS-C cases, children had myocardial impairment presenting with depressed left ventricular function, coronary artery dilation or aneurysms, myocarditis, pericarditis, refractory shock with troponin elevation, or N-terminal fragment of brain-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP).
