Compared to non‐diabetics, diabetics were more likely to have higher blood glucose at presentation, have hypertension, be on angiotensin 2 receptor blockers [OR, 95% CI 3.3 (1.6–6.7)] and angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors [OR, 95% CI 3.1 (1.3–7.4)]; and be HIV negative (p < .05). Here, AGTR2 is linked to hypertensive disorder.
