The most represented family is miRNA‐148 with 219 copies, which is known to act as a negative regulator of MyD88‐dependent NF‐κB signaling in the teleost fish (Chu et al., 2017) and inhibited in the herbivorous carp Ctenopharyngodon idella, in response to bacterial infection (Fang et al., 2020). This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and bacterial infectious disease.
