For the six genes found within the rhythmic process pathway, stromal gene expression was significantly correlated with body mass of the mouse (Nr1d2), glucose intolerance (Gpr176, Hlf) or both (Per3, Dbp, Tef) (Fig. 6D), suggesting that obesity can impact the peripheral clock of the uterus (Fig. 6D). Here, NR1D2 is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
