A gene regulatory network analysis68 comparing 10q-terDel with 10q-Ref cells identified 43 differentially active TFs (FDR 10%; Fig. 4h) and a functional enrichment analysis69 showed over-representation of Wnt signaling, BCR signaling and the PD-1 checkpoint pathway (Supplementary Table 16 and Fig. 4h); the PD-1 checkpoint pathway has been linked to immune resistance and transformation of CLL to aggressive lymphoma70,71. This evidence concerns the gene BCR and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
