A further comparison was performed among women positive for HPV and STIs partitioning the LR-HPV (n = 10) and the HR-HPV groups (n = 19), which revealed significantly lower TLR9 (p = 0.010) and higher IFNLR1 (p = 0.036) values in the HR- with respect to the LR-positive samples (Figure 3 and Figure S4). This evidence concerns the gene IFNLR1 and sexually transmitted disease.
