After adjustment for risk factors, including sex, age, body mass index, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and smoking, a significant effect on the survival was observed only for CYBA gene A allele carrier-state in the 10-year follow-up (HR = 2.84, 95% CI = 1.15–7.02, p = 0.02). The gene discussed is CYBA; the disease is hyperlipidemia.
