Overall, to our knowledge, we found for the first time that serum ANGPTL6 levels have the potential to discriminate between the noncancer group and HBV-related early primary HCC patients with normal serum AFP levels and observed that elevated serum ANGPTL6 levels in HCC patients were associated with altered levels of some lipoprotein subfractions. Here, ANGPTL6 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
