Overexpression of lipid-peroxidising ALOX5 and ALOX15 is related to several diseases such as diabetes, systemic sclerosis, atherosclerosis, prostate cancer, and colorectal cancer [27,28], besides, mediating proinflammatory lipid peroxidation and the main promoter of ferroptosis by producing lipid hydroperoxides [71,72]. Here, ALOX5 is linked to prostate cancer.
