In the multivariate analysis, the variables that were found to be statistically significantly associated with postoperative AKI in univariate analysis, were increased pre-operative monocyte counts (p = 0.0001), MHR (p = 0.0001) and pre-operative ESR levels (p = 0.001); increased postoperative first-day CRP levels (p = 0.0001), postoperative first- and third-day ESR levels (p = 0.002, p = 0.004, respectively) and MPV levels (p = 0.02, p = 0.0001, respectively). This evidence concerns the gene ESR1 and acute kidney injury.
