While our study demonstrates that CAPS2 deficiency in mice causes morphological and pathological changes in the exocrine pancreas, how CAPS2 regulates SG trafficking/exocytosis in pancreatic acinar cells remains to be determined, along with the role of CAPS2 in the human pancreas and the association of CAPS2 variations with susceptibility to human pancreatic disorders. This evidence concerns the gene CAPS2 and pancreas disorder.
