Our findings suggest that the cflA, fnbA, ebpS, spa, sdrC, coa, emp, vWF, atl, sasH, sasA and sasF adhesion genes, as well the aur, hglA, hglB, and hglC toxin genes are associated with clinical mastitis, and thus could be useful for screening tests and as candidates for more effectives vaccines. The gene discussed is VWF; the disease is mastitis.
