AR and prostate cancer: A retrospective study using a large male cohort with prostate cancer (N = 30,069) from the NCI’s SEER-Medicare-linked database and the Texas Cancer Registry (TCR)-Medicare-linked database compared the cumulative incidence of depression, defined by ICD-9/10 criteria, in men who were treated with second generation anti-androgen treatment, which included the CYP17 inhibitor abiraterone and an androgen receptor antagonist (bicalutamide, nilutamide, flutamide, enzalutamide, apalutamide, darolutamide) to men treated with only ADT [69].
