Targeted sequencing data for a panel of 580 recurrent single nucleotide alterations and short insertion/deletions (indels), and 15 translocations previously identified by the NCI TARGET AML Project2, revealed that 142 of 181 Cluster1 high-IL6/R samples (78.5%) had recurrent translocations. The gene discussed is IL6; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
