In particular, IgG autoantibodies against four neuronal autoantigens (lysoganglioside GM1, DRD1, DRD2, and tubulin) were observed, utilizing enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays, in Sydenham chorea sera (N = 8), sera and/or cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) from two groups of PANDAS cases (first group N = 25 and second group N = 35), sera from Tourette’s syndrome (N = 18), OCD (N = 25), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (N = 18), and healthy controls (N = 28). Here, DRD2 is linked to attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder.
