The Venn diagram demonstrated that 9 key genes are involved in both the NAFLD and glucose metabolism pathways, including GCK, PPP1R3C, NHLRC1, ENO3, PPP2R5D, PFKFB3, PGM2, SLC25A12, and PFKP (Figure 1(e)). The gene discussed is GCK; the disease is metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
