The Venn diagram demonstrated that 9 key genes are involved in both the NAFLD and glucose metabolism pathways, including GCK, PPP1R3C, NHLRC1, ENO3, PPP2R5D, PFKFB3, PGM2, SLC25A12, and PFKP (Figure 1(e)). Here, PGM2 is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
