Compared with the mice treated with PBS, the mice treated with IL-27 during the progression of atherosclerosis exhibited a reduction of 24.4% in aortic sinus atherosclerotic lesion size (18.03 ± 1.3% vs 13.45 ± 1.6%, respectively; P = 0.047; Figure 2), while the mice treated with the anti-IL-27p28 antibody showed an increase of 23.6% in aortic sinus atherosclerotic lesion size (18.03 ± 1.3% vs 24.73 ± 2.1%, respectively; P = 0.021; Figure 2). Here, IL27 is linked to atherosclerosis.
