egrh‐1 is the ortholog of human EGR1 (early growth response 1), a major transcription factor that has been implicated in multiple diseases including cancer (Wang et al., 2021), neuropsychiatric disorders (Duclot & Kabbaj, 2017), and Alzheimer's disease (Qin et al., 2016). The gene discussed is EGR1; the disease is early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
