Through a comprehensive analysis of the results in Additional file 1: Table S1, Additional file 1: Table S8 and Additional file 1: Fig. S1, we found that the CCL2/CCR2 (macrophage-related) and CXCL8/CXCR2 (neutrophil-related) axes are closely associated with the prognosis of HCC patients and can be used as new therapeutic targets for hepatocellular carcinoma. This evidence concerns the gene CXCR2 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
