Blocking the CCL2/CCR2 and CXCLs/CXCR2 axes with CCR2 and CXCR2 antagonists in TACE-treated rats reduced macrophage and neutrophil infiltration and hepatic progenitor cell activation and thus overcame TACE resistance in HCC. This evidence concerns the gene CXCR2 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
